Mimi Lau is a Planner with 8 years of experience working on community-based initiatives for the public and non-profit sector. Areas of specialization include community engagement, participatory planning, and social marketing/behavior change strategies. Her interest in community renewal is driven by the opportunities to address the social determinants of health in land use planning. Mimi has worked across the Greater Toronto Area, including field contributions to the design of natural heritage systems for Frenchman’s Bay and the Town of Pickering. Mimi has a Masters of Environmental Studies (Planning) degree from York University and serves as a member of the MES York Planning Alumni Committee.
