Katie has extensive experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders including health care providers, academics institutions, clients and their families. For over 17 years, she has worked in mental healthcare, addiction, and education fields in both hospital and community settings.
Katie completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychoanalytic Thought and Sociology at the University of Toronto, and her Master’s in Education in Teaching and Learning, with a specialization in Counselling and Special Education from Brock University. She is currently working on further specialized certification in couple and family therapy to compliment her clinical background.
Katie has also been a long time active member in the Scarborough community as she has worked extensively on Board of Directors and executive committees for several children’s and women’s organizations, in addition to leading numerous educational and recreational activities that her children are engaged with.
